Our Philosophy

At Spanish Montessori Preschool, we aim to create a nurturing, bilingual space where children develop a love for learning.

Our Montessori-based program promotes hands-on experiences and independence enhanced by Spanish immersion through daily interactions.

We support each child's academic, social, and emotional growth while fostering values like respect and empathy, guiding them to reach their full potential in a warm community.

Vision

"Our goal is to be a model of excellence in early childhood education, inspiring children to become autonomous and creative learners who are fluent in Spanish and embrace cultural diversity. We strive to foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, empowered, and prepared to face future challenges with confidence and curiosity.”

Mission

"To provide a nurturing educational environment that fosters self-directed learning and the holistic development of children through the Montessori methodology and Spanish language immersion. We are committed to cultivating curiosity, creativity, and respect for cultural diversity, preparing children to become confident and empathetic global citizens."

Preschool Founder & Director

¡Hola! I’m Danithza Baker, founder and lead educator of Spanish Montessori Preschool.

Originally from Peru, I’m passionate about helping children grow, learn, and thrive in nurturing, bilingual environments. My focus is on early childhood development, special education, and Spanish language instruction.

My Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education – Sacred Heart University, Lima, Peru

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education – Pedagógico de Monterrico University, Lima, Peru

  • Master’s Degree in Learning and Teaching Spanish and its Culture – University of Granada, Spain

  • Master’s Degree in Early Intervention – International University Isabel I de Castilla, Barcelona, Spain

  • North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential – Level III

  • AMI Montessori Administrator Certificate – Assistant/Guía

I’ve had the joy of teaching in both public and private schools across North Carolina as a preschool and Spanish teacher. I also facilitated parenting programs that support families in our community.

For many years, I’ve run a licensed, 5-star Spanish Immersion Family Child Care Program, where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and become confident learners guided by a Montessori-inspired, bilingual philosophy. In addition, I teach Early  Childhood  Development at the college level, because I believe our community thrives when teachers are passionate, well-prepared, and inspired.

My goal is simple: to create a warm, engaging environment.
